Thousand Oaks

Thousand Oaks

A modern Thousand Oaks residence where a sculptural pivot entry sets the tone and slide-&-stack glass walls open the living spaces to the pool deck and gardens.

Thousand Oaks, CaliforniaSystem: Slide-&-Stack & Pivot Entry

This contemporary Thousand Oaks home makes its first impression at the front door and never lets up. An oversized wood pivot entry welcomes you into a light-filled, double-height foyer, and from there the main living spaces dissolve into the backyard through wide slide-&-stack glass walls.

The Story

"One Home, Two Statements in Glass and Wood"

The clients wanted a residence that felt open and connected from the moment of arrival. We paired a custom pivot entry door with slide-&-stack systems in the kitchen and living room, so the same clean, black-framed language carries from the entrance all the way through to the pool deck.

The pivot door turns effortlessly on a concealed balanced hinge despite its scale, while the slide-&-stack panels glide along precision tracks and fold neatly to one side. Together they give the home a genuine sense of arrival and a seamless indoor-outdoor flow that suits the way the family lives and entertains.

Thousand Oaks - the challenge

The Challenge: The owners wanted a home that felt dramatic and welcoming at the entrance and completely open to the yard in the main living areas, without mixing a dozen different door styles. The entry and the living-space openings needed to feel like one cohesive design rather than separate decisions.

Thousand Oaks - the result

The Result: Guests now arrive through a statement pivot door into a bright, double-height foyer, and the living areas open fully onto the pool deck and gardens. The home flows from front to back with one continuous architectural line, exactly the effortless, connected feel the owners were after.

Thousand Oaks overview

Our Solution: We specified a custom oversized pivot entry door and matched it with slide-&-stack glass wall systems in the kitchen and living room. Every opening shares the same slim black frames and warm wood tones, so the entrance and the living spaces read as a single, intentional design language.

From the front door to the back yard, one continuous line of glass and wood.
