This modern Malibu condominium proves that dramatic indoor-outdoor living isn't reserved for sprawling estates. We replaced a conventional sliding door with a floor-to-ceiling multi-slide system that opens the main living area directly onto the ocean-view terrace.
"Big Views in a Compact Footprint"
Because condo layouts leave no room for swinging panels, the multi-slide system was the ideal choice — panels glide along precision tracks and stack neatly to one side, keeping every square foot of the living space usable while maximizing the glass area.
Slim sightlines and expansive panels keep the Pacific front and center whether the wall is open or closed, and the marine-grade hardware is built to shrug off the salt air of the Malibu coastline.
The Challenge: The owners wanted the wide-open indoor-outdoor feel of a luxury estate inside a condominium, where every square foot counts and structural changes are tightly constrained. A folding system would have intruded into the living space when open.
The Result: The living room now flows directly onto the terrace, with the panels disappearing to one side at a touch. The ocean view dominates the space whether the wall is open or closed — a transformation that redefines what condo living on the coast can feel like.
Our Solution: We installed a custom multi-slide door system with floor-to-ceiling panels that glide along precision tracks and stack compactly to one side. The slim-profile frames maximize the glass area, and every component was selected for durability in the coastal environment.
